Preserving the Jewish-Moroccan heritage since 2007

Created by university students in 2007, the Association has since expanded these activities on a national level in order to engage in the education of the Moroccan youth about the Moroccan Jewish heritage. One of the founding principles of the Association is to reclaim the cultural diversity of Morocco through its history. In a context where intolerance and extremism are rampant, Mimouna, as a Citizen Patriot Association, would like to contribute to the preserving and strengthening of the plural Moroccan identity.

OUR MISSION

From Memory to Action: Our Purpose in Motion

Mimouna was created by Muslim students who recognized that Morocco’s Jewish story is inseparable from the nation’s identity. Today, the association works nationwide—and increasingly worldwide—to protect that heritage while turning shared memory into shared responsibility. By pairing rigorous research with vibrant cultural programming, we equip new generations to celebrate diversity, reject hatred and extend a hand across faith lines.
