Mimouna Association
On the 17th of March, 2016, Mimouna Association organized in partnership with The American Sephardic Federation’s Young Leadership Board an evening in honor of the Moroccan Day held during the New York Sephardic Film Festival 2016.
One of the key academic activities of the association in regards of education is offering Hebrew courses taught by Moroccan university professors.
The Moroccan Jewish University offers activities with educational purposes, in particular colloquia run by experts on Moroccan Judaism, as well as debates and round tables.
During the holy month of Ramadan, Mimouna Association in partnership with the Loubavich youth in Morocco, distributed, 1250 baskets of food to families in need in Rabat and in its region.
The celebration of the feast of Mimouna was initiated in order to commemorate 8 years of active contribution to the civil society, during which Mimouna Association worked on the promotion and comprehension of the Jewish community as an important component of the Moroccan identity.
